Community Center of Hope (CCH)
Who is Appropriate for Services?
The Community Center of Hope (CCH) is currently being developed to provide psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals with severe mental illnesses and their families.
Location of Facilities
Facilities are being sought in the Knightdale, NC area. Knightdale is a suburb of Raleigh and is located in east Wake County. It is conveniently located about 5 miles off the I-440
beltline on Highway 64.
Services
Funding is currently being secured to provide a day program for individuals with severe mental illnesses. These services will focus on vocational training opportunities, but also include
numerous groups designed to teach coping skills, social skills, and basic life skills. Social activities will be provided. Also, family counseling/consultation will also be provided.
Family Services
CCH recognizes that families often struggle and suffer along with their family member who suffers from a mental illness. Often families are left unsupported and confused about how to help their loved one. Family support and counseling will be
provided in individual, group and social formats.
Future
These services are currently being designed. The goal is to
secure funding to begin offering services by the Summer of 2003.
